Priming – techniques that can be used in order to subtly change the behaviour of another person by manipulating the environment.
For example: a shop owner who finds herself with a surplus of German wine could play German music to increase the sales or placing a picture of an eye next to chocolate bars to stop local school children stealing them.
What does this mean in the workplace? For business owners and employers this means that the office environment is very important. It should reflect the work culture that you desire. For example: if you want your workforce to feel comfortable & at home you might replace the usual office furniture with comfier chairs. A comfortable workforce is a profitable workforce.
